What is a dry-hire mobile bar business?

Under a dry-hire mobile bar model, the client or event host purchases all alcohol directly from a licensed retail vendor, while the mobile bar caterer provides the physical trailer/tap wall, certified bartenders, craft syrups, fresh mixers, ice, garnishes, and liquor liability coverage without requiring an expensive commercial liquor license.

How much can a mobile bar business make?

Average mobile bar caterers earn between $1,200 and $2,800 per wedding or event. Booking just 4 events per month generates $5,000 to $10,000+ in high-margin gross revenue with up to 78% net profit margin.

How does the $9.95 first month launch offer work?

How much alcohol is needed for a 100 or 150 guest event?

Using standard event consumption math (2 drinks first hour, 1 drink each subsequent hour), a 4-hour event for 100 guests requires approximately 500 drinks (approx. 12-14 spirit bottles of 750ml, 35 wine bottles, and 125-150 beers or one 1/2 keg). For 150 guests over 4 hours, plan for 750 drinks (approx. 18-20 spirit bottles, 52 wine bottles, and 190 beers) plus 225-300 lbs of ice.

What is the formula for batching craft cocktails into drink dispensers?

When scaling single cocktails to 1, 3, or 5-gallon dispensers, you must add 20% to 25% filtered water by volume for shaken cocktails (Margaritas, Sours) or 15% to 18% water for stirred cocktails (Old Fashioneds) to replicate standard shaker ice melt and prevent an overpowering, overly boozy flavor profile.

What insurance does a mobile bar business need to operate legally?

Mobile bar operators require General Liability Insurance ($1M per occurrence / $2M aggregate), Liquor Liability Insurance (or Host Liquor Liability), and Commercial Auto / Inland Marine coverage for trailers and tap rigs in transit and on event grounds.
